Meet Your Hygienist

My name is Kayla Sawula, I am an Independent Registered Dental Hygienist (IRDH) committed to providing exceptional oral health care and education to my patients.

Originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario, I am thrilled to be making my roots in the Ottawa Valley and serve this wonderful community. With over 13 years of experience in dental hygiene, I have honed my skills and expertise in helping individuals achieve and maintain optimal oral health. 

I earned my Dental Hygiene diploma from Georgian College, where I gained a strong foundation in dental hygiene and patient care. Since then, I have continually expanded my knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development and training. I am an active member of the CDHO, ODHA, CDHA & the Ottawa Dental Hygienists Society. In addition, I am a member of the DHPO, which is a non-profit association dedicated to the advancement of Independent Dental Hygienists of Ontario.

I believe in a patient-centered approach, striving to create a welcoming and comfortable environment where every patient feels valued and heard. I take the time to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and tailor my care to meet your unique needs. I am particularly passionate about educating patients on the importance of oral hygiene and its connection to overall health. Empowering you with the knowledge and tools to take control of your oral health is at the heart of my practice. I stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental hygiene and use state-of-the-art technology to ensure you receive the best care possible.

Outside of the office, I enjoy staying active in the Ottawa Valley community, participating in local events and spending time with my family. I am blessed with a supportive husband and two young boys who certainly keep me on my toes. Together, we all love exploring the beautiful natural landscapes our region has to offer with our rescue dog.
